6th Grade Library Projects

As part of their library class, our sixth-grade students began working on reviews of books to share with other students.

The Princess School
series
reviewed by Emily D.

The Princess SchoolI love The Princess School series and think it is amazing! There are 7 books in all, and I’ve read book numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. They’re all stories about friendship and kindness, along with everyone acting royal. The four best friends, Ella, Snow, Rapunzel, and Rose, all help each other while facing many difficult challenges. Some of the challenges could involve going to the ball, or as little as a bird wanting your attention. To find out the other challenges they face, read The Princess School series, and enter a world of magic!

Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg
by Gail Carson Levine
reviewed by *****

Fairy Dust Egg book coverFairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg is a book that can be found in the Fiction section of the library. It is one of the many great books written by Gail Carson Levine. Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg is a book about fairies such as Tinkerbell. All of the fairies have a specific talent such as Water or Light.

Water-talent fairies can do really cool tricks with water. Sadly, Water-talent fairies can’t swim- no fairies can because they have wings that drag them down if they are wet. Light fairies can do awesome tricks with light. I really like Animal-talent fairies because they talk to and help animals. Tinkerbell is a pots-and-pans fairy. She can fix any broken pot or pan. She is really good with tools. In this book, three fairies go on a quest to save their kingdom. One is a new fairy. She is the only fairy ever who doesn’t know her talent. The fairies go on the quest and find a golden hawk and a dragon. They are very scared of those animals, but they do it to save their kingdom. This is a really good book and I hope you choose to read it. If you do, enjoy!
