Fourth Grader 's Winning Comic
Grace A., a student in Ms. Stoner's 4th grade class, has been selected as one of ten very funny winners of Arrow Book Club's "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" Comic Writing Contest 2009.
Scholastic, Inc. received over 37,000 entries from around the country—the most they ever received for a single contest. According to Betsy Howe of Scholastic Book Clubs, the entries ranged from "really funny to very silly to extremely gross!"
As a winner, Grace will receive a copy of "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw" signed by Jeff Kinney. In addition, Ms. Stoner's class will receive a 10-book LOL library.
